MPC-HC, MPC-BE, PotPlayer. Those are the only ones you should consider using on Windows. VLC is only relevant if you're on Linux or Mac.

DaumPlayer is way better than VLC, but MPC-HC / BE (your preference, really. I use HC for RAR packed files, it deals with those better than BE, since it has a modded RARFileSource filter internalized, and BE for everything else).
