+Forget Hasleo - will not clone to a USB
 +
+  1: Used Macrium Reflect Free (Trial) Ver 7 (have copy)
 +  2: Have not tried:
+     The "Hardware Swap" Disk Clone
+       ** If you are determined to use Acronis,**
+         you can trick it by changing the order of physical operations.
+         Instead of cloning from the inside out, you clone from the outside in.
 + - Create
 +     an **Acronis
+       Bootable Rescue Media** (USB flash drive) using the
+     Acronis software before you swap them, or borrow another
 +     computer to make one.
+ - **Take the old drive out** of your laptop and put it into the
 +     USB dock.
 + - **Put
+       the brand new, empty WD Blue disk directly inside** the
 +     laptop.
 + - Boot
+     your laptop from that Acronis USB flash drive. Because the
+     WD Blue is now connected directly to the laptop's
+     motherboard, Acronis will recognize it instantly.
 + - Select
+     the old drive (now in the USB dock) as your source, and
+     clone it onto the internal WD Blue.

 +
+Bad NVME drive - very slow access to drive and the user experience much degraded. Cloned the drive to WD SSD that was mounted internally. Used the free version of Acronis that was downloaded from WD. Acronis did clone the NVME successfully. Automatically expanded the partition from 500 GB to 1 TB.
