I loose internet connection every 7th minute (IE7 or Firefox), however i can get a ping (default or eg google) and email works still.

Following have been observed: 1) my labtop does not have the problem on the same network. 2) If I disable the onboard LAN and put in another I still have the problem. 3) If I bring the PC to another network (i.e. to another house with other router etc) i have the same problem. 4) turning of firewall and antivirus (full license AVG) doesnt seem to help.

Had to manually delete (for XP)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Vsdatant
windows/system32/vsdata.dll and vsdatant.sys
Search, select your local hard drive, type in “VSDATA*.*”
Now in the find field, type in “INTERNET LOGS”
You should see a folder - delete the folder. This removes the database files
windows system32 / zonelabs folder
search regedit for vsdata and remove dll entries
